Welcome to St. Theresa Memorial Park Youth Sports League! The Youth Sports Program is open to children of the church, community, and school grades Pre-K3 to 5th grade. The youth sports program at St.Theresa strives to build friendships, confidence, teamwork, and self-esteem. Our program offers Soccer and T-Ball/Baseball/Softball that begins in Pre-K3 and Basketball that begins in Kinder.

The youth sports program builds a strong foundation of athletic ability and games understanding in a fun, safe environment. The St. Theresa Memorial Park Youth Sports League is a member of the West Houston Christian Sports Association (WHCSA), a league consisting of Christian Churches and schools of various denominations in the West Houston area.

1.  Who can participate in the St.Theresa Memorial Park Youth Sports League?

Youth Sports Program is open to children of the church, community and school grades Prek3 - 5th

2. Can I still sign up my child, even though registration deadline was last week?

Each Youth Sport will have a registration deadline, which allows me to get the teams registered by the league and have our uniforms ordered and completed in time for the season’s first game. Once I order the uniforms and register the teams, there is no going back. If you plan on your child playing, please register before the deadline date.

3.  When and where will practices be?

Practice days and times will be decided by the coach and what works best for their schedule. Although it can be challenging to create a practice day and time that is convenient for everyone, we ask that you do your very best to attend practice. Practice will take place at St. Theresa, one evening per week.

4.  When does the season begin?

Soccer season begins in late September
Basketball season begins in early January
Baseball/Softball season beings in late March
Games are played on Saturday

5. What time will games be, and where?

Games will be anytime from 8am-3pm, usually. The locations of the games are decided by the league. We will not have that information, or the game schedule, until the coaches meeting.

6. Who will coach the team?

Teams are coached by parents who kindly volunteer their time. All Teams must have a coach by the end of registration.  Parents who want to coach, assistant coach or be the team parent, must be Virtus trained. It is a requirement of the Archdiocese that parents who are working with the children take this class.
